U.S. Postal Service strapped for cash
In order to reduce operating costs, the United States Postal Service is suggesting eliminating mail delivery on Saturdays.
The USPS announced that it will incur about $238 billion in losses in the next 10 years if Congress doesn't permit it to revamp its outdated business model.

Other suggestions to trim the budget include eliminating prepaid retiree health benefits. That alone would cut $90 billion in costs over the next 10 years.
Other cost cutting measures suggested by the USPS include closing some branches and raising its prices, two moves which would both require Congressional approval.
